The countdown continues with tonight's Halloween movie picks.
Lady Vader's choice for Friday the 3rd is "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"
Just a big city girl moving to the small town of Sunnydale. Just a movie that launched one of the best series EVER. Just a movie that also created a Luke Perry shaped crush in all girls hitting puberty. JUST ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER.
The Hell Kitty suggests "Night of the Living Dead."
I'm not sure the first time I saw this, but it's still a classic. It's the first of the zombie movie era, and it's my favorite for sure. It's where Shaun of the Dead got it's infamous line, "We're coming to get you Barbara," and where we get most of our zombie folklore (zombies don't run, they lumber, etc). It's terrifying and beautiful.
Taylor Elizabeth is getting her Christopher Meloni fix with 2009's "Carriers".
A "zombie" movie that's not really a zombie movie... Carriers follows 4 friends as they run from a deadly virus. The only thing is, the living are more dangerous than the sick and dying.
I really liked this film, despite not doing well at the box office. Chris Pine is great, and I love seeing Chris Meloni outside of Law & Order: SVU.
Taffeta Darling is spending Friday night watching Eli Roth's "Cabin Fever".
Blood and gore everywhere in the middle of nowhere with a kid who bites and screams for pancakes. Stay away from the water, kids!
